After the death of the most wanted criminal of the world now all eyes were on President Barack Obama the other night as he talked about U.S. forces taking out Osama bin Laden, hunting-killing-throwing him into the sea, it’s understandable that folks might have missed his predecessor, George W. Bush, making a very important announcement of his own.
In a new Funny or Die video Will Ferrell reprises the role of George Bush, speaking live from a Sizzler restaurant near his Texas home, the former leader of the free world, as imagined by Will Ferrell, shared the good news that, he too, had overseen a covert operation that led to the demise of another kind of terrorist that had been plaguing him for years. “Gopher” has just been killed so the world is Safe now.
Let’s just say, we can now take comfort in knowing that Laura Bush’s fruit trees are safe and secure and so is the whole world.
